New Tins

Here's what I've been working on - new tins!
The stitched tins are still my favorite and I'm feverishly stitching new strips for those too but people love the sunflowers and ladybugs so I thought I should offer these too. I'm about to figure out something different for the ladybug lid - too much plain space. Might be stitching, might be paper leaves, not sure yet.

I received an order from a customer who purchased from me last year - for 14 Sticky Notes in pastel colors. I stitched a couple of those pieces last night, just to experiment with colors. It's a nice change of pace since I usually work in fairly bold, contrasty colors.

Yes, I do work on lots of stuff simultaneously - in my studio, on my lunch hour, while watching TV with Steve after dinner. It's always something!  (Remember who said that?)

In other news, Steve's sister has been in town so I've been busy with her sometimes. She's staying with their brother for the last part of her trip so life is back to normal around here.

The day job has no significant events going on so I'm working my normal hours. The best possible news on that front is that our contract with the company run by The Bully is over! It's been a long, hellish 3 years - taking up way too much of my time. My last day to do work for them was last Friday though there's little bits to be done during the transition to the new company that bought them. I met (via email) the Accounts Receivable person at the new company yesterday so I've been emailing her documents that I think she'll find helpful. I'll box up their files later this week.

It's not like I'll have loads of free time I don't know what to do with because as I like to say, I already had a full-time job when we took on their accounting work. There's just been a lot of things not getting done so I'm eager to get back to that stuff.

This is a nice festival - the 2nd annual this year. Lots of art, music, food and wine! Hours are 10:00-5:00 both days. Stop by and say hi!
